Projects

Montney

Initiated in 2015 the Speers Edge team conducted a regional study of various Montney development drilling programs spanning from Town, BC to Valleyview, AB.  As part of the study, stratigraphic subdivision of the Upper, Middle, and Lower Montney intervals were completed, allowing for detailed zone attribute analysis to be conducted.  Analysis included creation of stratigraphically defined gross/net pay maps in addition to reservoir attribute maps including wet gas index, C5+, and pressure-gradient maps.

Montney

Serving on a team responsible for the planning and execution of a multi-well pilot program, targeting the 145 m thick Upper Montney stratigraphic interval at Groundbirch, BC represents another innovative approach Speers Edge brings to all it's projects.  Through detailed statistical offset stimulation and production reviews, our team aided in transforming our clients standard D&C design by extending lateral length while reducing frac spacing through the integration of a dual-system, tapered string completion system design.

Doig

Employing play-based exploration methods including both structural/stratigraphic mapping, petrophysical defined reservoir analysis, the Speers Edge team was able to delineate the "Dirty-Doig" resource across our client's property while providing up-scaled type curve forecasts based on historic offset production data.  Analysis was instrumental in defining a new resource play within our client's corporate inventory holdings with a total unrisked and unbooked upside exceeding 75 horizontal locations.

Charlie Lake

From the Artex to the Siphon member, Speers Edge staff have completed independent reviews of Charlie Lake pools spanning across much of NEBC.  Both conventional pools including those with secondary recovery schemes (e.g. water flood) have been analyzed in addition to more modern resource style play developments implementing multi-stage horizontal stimulations.
